All New Ram 1500 Vs. Ram 1500

2019 Ram 1500

Recently, Ram decided to split the Ram 1500 into two different models, the All-New Ram 1500 and the Ram 1500 Classic. This was so Ram could fully prepare for the future of trucks while still staying true to what people have loved about 1500 over the years. You may be wondering how to tell the difference between these two trucks and how to figure out which one will fit your life the best. Adams Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram fully believes in helping our customers through the entire car-buying process, including the research phase.  We have gathered the facts on both the 2019 All-New Ram 1500 and the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, so that you can figure out which one of these trucks you want in your garage.

When crafting the All-New Ram 1500, one of the biggest changes was that Ram got rid of the iconic crosshair front grille design, replacing it with six uniquely new grille designs. Each of these designs are available on different trim levels of the All-New Ram 1500. You can also count on the body of the All-New Ram not only being lighter but also being wider and longer, therefore providing you more interior volume room across the board. When it comes to aesthetics, keep in mind that the body of this All-New Ram was crafted with sharp and stunning body lines that improve aerodynamics, along with the forward-leaning grille opening that does the same.

Ram also raised the RamBox Cargo Management System by about an inch and a half while also installing a newly available 33.3 x 43.4-inch panoramic sunroof, so you can see the sky from the cabin of your 2019 All-New Ram 1500. You can also count on various technological advancements in the All-New Ram 1500 that aren’t found in the Classic version of this model. This includes a remote keyless entry feature that comes standard in the All-New Ram 1500, but is an optional add-on if you want it in the 1500 Classic.

Though the lineup of the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic will be dropping a number of trim levels, it will keep the three different cab sizes and bed lengths. Take your choice between the Regular Cab, Quad Cab, and Crew Cab versions of the Tradesman, Express, and Big Horn/Lone Star trim levels, depending on what you want out of your truck. The All-New Ram 1500 is available in the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, Rebel, and Limited trim levels. When it comes to power under the hood of your Ram 1500, keep in mind that these trucks come with different standard engines. The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Quad Cab 4-Wheel Drive Tradesman is outfitted with a Flex Fuel 3.6L V6 engine that gets 305 horsepower at 6,400 RPM, 269 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,175 RPM, plus a combined 19 MPG.

If you’re willing to sacrifice fuel economy for a boost of power, then check out the HEMI 5.7L V8 engine under the hood of the All-New Ram 1500. This engine is capable of getting 395 horsepower at 5,600 RPM, 410 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,950 RPM, and 17 combined MPG. This engine also gets a monstrous towing capacity of 12,750 lbs. because of the five-link coil suspension and the model’s eTorque.
